The Emergency Preparedness Program is responsible for the development of guides, policies, and plans associated with protecting the health of Dickinson and Iron County citizens from natural, chemical, biological and radiological threats. The Emergency Preparedness Program involves: Developing plans and procedures for responding to public health emergencies, including plans for mass vaccination and the distribution of prophylaxis, if available; attending trainings with local, regional, and state partners to prepare for public health emergencies; and working closely with the Local Emergency Management Coordinators, the Region 8 Healthcare Coalition, and other emergency response agencies to ensure a coordinated and effective response to any emergency.
