What to do after a tick bite: Tick Bite: What to Do (cdc.gov) 


Submit a tick or a tick pic: Expert tick identification is available free of charge for Michigan residents through the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS). Ticks are no longer tested for Lyme Disease. You can either email a picture of the tick or mail the tick to the MDHHS for identification. Free tick submission kits are available from your local health department. Click here for tick submission and other tick-related disease information.
