The WIC Program is a health and nutrition program that has shown to have a positive effect on pregnancy outcomes, child growth, and development. WIC provides supplemental nutritious foods, breastfeeding information and other resources for pregnant, breastfeeding or postpartum women, infants and children up to age 5 who qualify.
The WIC program focuses on positive nutrition and other preventative health issues. There are no fees to enroll in WIC.
WIC staff members have been trained and are able to support you on your breastfeeding journey. A Peer Counselor is there to answer questions and support you. WIC provides breast pumps and breastfeeding equipment (such as replacement tubing and flanges). Our staff has been trained to help you with pump set-up, troubleshooting and flange fitting. If you're a breastfeeding mom, our Food Package provide larger amounts of nutritious foods for a full year after your baby's birth.
