The Family Planning program is a preventative health service that positively impacts the health and wellbeing of women, children, and families by empowering men and women to make informed reproductive choices. A broad range of medically approved family planning methods are available.
All services are confidential.
Based on Michigan law, those who are under 18 years old can access these services without requiring parental consent.

The Dickinson-Iron District Health Department provides free or low cost comprehensive reproductive and sexual health services to all individuals regardless of gender, sexual orientation, income, or any other factor. We will bill insurance, but also have a sliding fee scale for those who are uninsured. We will never turn you away because of inability to pay.
Priority is low-income females and males who wish to prevent unintended pregnancies; plan and space births; improve infant and maternal outcomes and improve women's and men's health.
Family planning services are available to all people of reproductive age, including teens.
Every Woman. Every Year. The Michigan BC3NP can help an eligible woman, aged 21-64, get breast and cervical screening services yearly whether she has insurance or not. Assistance is provided to help her receive the screening, follow-up care for an abnormal test result, and/or treatment if a breast or cervical cancer is diagnosed.
