Where can I get a flu and COVID shot? Flu and COVID vaccines are available at DIDHD and at many local pharmacies and physician offices.

Reporting Adverse Events: Adverse events reported to providers after vaccination should be submitted to the Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS) according to state guidelines. For more information and reporting forms, contact VAERS at (800)-822-7967 or visit the VAERS website.

Is it safe to get so many shots at once? Studies show that getting many vaccines on the same day does not decrease their effectiveness or increase side effects. Additional information can be found here.

What side effects can I expect after getting vaccinated? Most side effects are mild and may include some redness/soreness at the injection site. Additional information about side effects can be found here.

What if my child is “off schedule” and has missed shots? The DIDHD nurses will be happy to work with you to determine a vaccine catch up schedule that works for you and your family!
